October 2026 President's Message

October 2026
October is rapidly approaching and the 2026 Midterm Election is right around the corner! This has been a long journey, and the PVRW October 1st luncheon is our final one before the Midterms on November 3rd.
Since July of 2025, we have given candidates the opportunity to speak to our Club via our “Campaign Train.” As a reminder, we enjoyed hearing from the following candidates throughout the past year:
Gubernatorial Candidate Andy Biggs
Attorney General Candidates Rodney Glassman and Greg Roeberg
Secretary of State Candidates Gina Swoboda and Alex Kolodin
AZ Treasurer Candidates Elijah Norton and Katheryn Haley
AZ Superintendent of Schools Candidate Kimberly Yee
AZ State Mine Inspector and candidate for re-election Les Presmyk
LD1 Candidate Shawn Dell Wildman
Judicial Candidate Josh Butner and the sitting Superior Court Judges
Prescott Valley Town Council and Mayor candidates
LD1 Incumbents Selina Bliss and Quang Nguyen
AZ Senate President Warren Petersen, who is attending again this month.
This exposure provided excellent information for our members to evaluate candidates and their platforms leading up to the July 21st Primary. Our members have had the opportunity to ask questions, analyze qualifications, investigate performance, and make informed decisions. The Primary results determined the Republican slate for the Midterms in spite of poor voter turnout of only 39% in Yavapai County. As you will recall, Yavapai County once again led the way with top voter turnout in the State, but we need to do better. Too many races are won due to a small representation of the voter population, and the results may have been different if the majority of Republicans let their voice be heard.
Battles are being fought on a daily basis to combat the mistruths and misinformation being spread by opposing political factions. It is never-ending on social media, TV and radio stations, and across our state. We must stay focused, drown out the noise, and stay true to our mission to regain Republican control of our State. Our current Governor, who has done immense damage to the residents of Arizona through her endless veto pursuits, insists on telling lies about her Republican opponent and then takes credit for legislation that she opposed for months. This isn’t just politics! It says a lot about her character and what she deems important. The Governor, Attorney General and Secretary of State need to be unseated and replaced with our outstanding Republican candidates! We need Andy Biggs and Sine Kerr, his selected Lieutenant Governor running mate, as our top State Leadership. Get your copy of the Golden Ticket and make sure you, as well as your family, friends and neighbors are all on board with the Republican ticket and have an action plan to complete the ballot and VOTE!! We need every Republican voter to cast their votes in this Midterm Election by completing their ballots and sending them in on time, completed correctly or showing up to vote on Election Day. As George Khalaf stated at last month’s luncheon, if we all show up to vote, WE WIN!!
The PVRW October 1st luncheon is our final one before the 2026 Midterms. Just as a reminder, here are some critical dates to keep in mind.
October 5 – Last Day to Register to Vote
October 7 – Ballots are Mailed, Early voting begins
October 10 – Yavapai County Win in ’26 Rally – Courthouse Square, Prescott
October 30 – Last day to Vote Early
November 3 – 2026 Midterm Election Day
We all know how important this election is. Remember…. Not voting is actually casting a vote! Several races in the past may have turned out very differently if every Republican had voted. If we don’t elect Eli Crane, President Trump’s agenda may be in jeopardy and derailed, and he could be impeached again. If we don’t elect Selina Bliss or Quang Nguyen, the Republican majority in the Arizona house may be lost and the good work relentlessly fought for and brought over the finish line could be reversed. If we don’t elect Mark Finchem to the Arizona Senate, that majority may be gone and undesirable legislation may be enacted. If we don’t elect Alex Kolodin and Warren Petersen, our State leadership will continue down the wrong path. And if Andy Biggs and Sine Kerr are not elected, any positive progress intended for Arizona is lost. It’s important to vote your values, principles and beliefs. And please be sure to vote Republican up and down the ballot! Vote in person early or on election day. Use the secure ballot boxes located throughout Yavapai County rather than the US Mail as the chain of custody of your ballot is not secure. Share the Golden Ticket with as many voters as possible as it is a great resource and guide. Our Yavapai County target is 80% Republican voter turnout!
We are less than 35 days away from the election. So make this a top priority and let’s win big for Arizona!
