December President's Message

December 2025

Welcome to December 2025. The year has certainly flown by, and we can be thankful on many fronts for God’s

blessings during this season of Gratitude. My hope is your Thanksgiving weekend was a memorable and precious time spent with Family, Friends and Fellow Republicans. Our Freedom Fighters and Veterans around the world are especially in our hearts and minds as they continue to serve faithfully in domestic and foreign regions, continually protecting our great country and its citizens. We are saddened by the sudden and tragic loss of Sarah Berkstrom, 20 years old, who made a commitment to serve with the West Virginia National Guard in our nation’s Capital last week and who was mortally wounded by an Afghanistan citizen in the US illegally.

We pray for her family during this time of sorrow. And our thoughts and prayers are with Andrew Wolfe, 24 years old, also serving with the West Virginia National Guard, who was gunned down the same day by the

same individual and who continues to fight for his life. We pray for healing and comfort in the coming days. May we continue to uphold all of our servicemen and women, as they strive selflessly to protect our Freedoms that we often take for granted.

Prescott Valley Republican Women recently reached a milestone – a 5th year anniversary in October 2025. It was in October of 2020 when the Club was chartered and began the journey to make a difference in Prescott Valley. The exploratory launch event for the Club was held at Rafter11 and approximately 15 Charter members invested their time, talent and treasure to start PVRW. We weathered the initial Covid invasion and in March of 2021 the gatherings at our monthly luncheons started to unfold and materialize. Our firstmeeting was held at the Stoneridge Clubhouse, with modest Subway sandwiches, and a talk by our Mayor Kell Palguta. It represented the foundation of involved and patriotic citizens with like-minded principles and beliefs in the Republican Party here in Prescott Valley.

So at the 5-year mark, I’m grateful for those who have contributed in ways, great and small, to the ongoing commitment to Prescott Valley Republican Women’s Club. From the Charter members to long-term members, to Club Officers, to all of the Associates who have joined, and to the friends and guests who have contributed their time and talents to sustaining and improving this organization, we applaud and are grateful for you. We are thankful for the speakers, the candidates, the Prescott Valley organizations and our sister clubs in Yavapai County and beyond who have influenced our views, educated and informed our membership, and formulated our votes over the years by sharing their positions, platforms, and purposes with PVRW. And to both the

Arizona Federation of Republican Women (AzFRW) and the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), we applaud your guidance, direction and leadership for setting the bar, showing us the way and encouraging Club achievements that truly make a difference.

As we gather together this week, we are celebrating PVRW’s accomplishments and purpose, to continue making a difference in Prescott Valley and the Quad-City area. The past 2 years have seen successful PVRW efforts to elect President Trump for a second term, as well as state and local elections yielding a Republican majority in the US and Arizona legislatures. Challenges in 2026 are anticipated, and starting in January, we need all hands on deck to once again succeed. There are 8 months remaining until the Primary election on

August 4th, 2026, and 11 months to Election Day on November 3rd . The goal of PVRW is to present and elect strong Republican candidates, educate our members on key upcoming ballot initiatives, and empower our membership to make good and informed choices. Your involvement is key to our Republican success, your vote is critical, and being an active, enthusiastic participant is vital. Let’s enjoy our celebration but buckle up for what we know will be a challenging fight over the next several months. Coming together, putting aside

differences, and focusing on our common values will result in the emergence of strong Republican candidates in the Primary, who we need to support without question. Keeping, and yes expanding, our Republican majorities nationally and statewide is of utmost importance. So I urge you to strongly consider how you will participate in this endeavor, as there are and will be many opportunities to engage. Remember, our Family, Faith, and Freedom depend on it!
