August President's Message

August, 2025

Welcome to August…and the heat challenges! We are so looking forward to the monsoons kicking in, and hopefully  they will soon! And speaking of heat – the heat is on many corrupt, irresponsible and dirty politicians

who we knew were flawed but are now being fully exposed to the public at large. DNI Tulsi Gabbard has been

relentless, fearless and methodical in her exposure of public servants who should be held to a higher standard

given their positions of responsibility. How disappointing that elected and subsequent appointed officials  can

take matters into their own hands and craft a tangled web of lies and deceit, violating the public’s trust. Where are the checks and balances? How will indictments, prosecutions and punishments unfold, if at all?

After all President Trump has been put through before, during and after his first term, suffering through

impeachments, lawfare, obstruction, and attempted assassinations, he deserves to uncover the truth for the

American people! President Trump has carefully chosen his energetic and loyal team, placed them strategically

within his Administration, and step by step, their focused leadership has uncovered and exposed the corruptness that we hope did not exist, but to our great disappointment, surely did! The stage is being set,

and we can all hope and pray that good will conquer evil.

Let’s turn our attention to Arizona and the upcoming 2026 elections. It’s so important that we perform due diligence on candidates at all levels, understand their values and priorities, investigate their prior

performance and decisions, and then make an informed choice.

  • Why is a candidate running, for the betterment of the state and

community, or for their own advancement?

  • What is their vision for the office they aspire to, as well as their objectives

and purpose in serving the public?

  • What are the goals they want to achieve? Are they based on fact or a

personal whim?

  • What is their background and experience, and does it fit the job they are

pursuing?

  • What results have they already produced that show factual evidence of

their accomplishments?

  • Do they exude integrity, honesty and boldness?

We are entering a crucial time where interested parties are now declaring their intentions to run for state and

local offices in Arizona and we need to pay close attention. Prescott Valley Republican Women are gearing up to start our “Campaign Train, ” to bring you face to face with candidates running for Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, Arizona Senate and Arizona State Representatives. We encourage you to attend, be educated, get informed, and ask questions. A good resource to check out who’s running is the Arizona

Secretary of State website at:

Please keep in mind that we are exactly one year away from the Arizona Primary Election on Tuesday, August 4th, 2026. Let’s commit to doing all we can to assess our Republican candidates, make informed choices, support their campaigns, and work tirelessly for their successful elections! Be an active their campaigns, and work tirelessly for their successful elections! Be an active  participant, and let’s take Arizona back in 2026!

As you know, PVRW is entering its own election season, every 2 years, to elect our Executive Committee

for the 2026/2027 2-year term. At our July luncheon, our membership elected 3 active members to our Nominating Committee – Sandi Irwin (Chair), Pilar Hemry (Vice Chair), and Linda Letzer (Secretary).

They have started on the journey to identify enthusiastic and.committed members to run for office

by defining the nomination process and providing an application for those interested in running (see our recent

Newsletter with details). Please seriously consider your willingness to contribute your time and talents

to our growing Club. We have great momentum, you all are actively spreading the word to your friends and

neighbors, and there is excitement around the potential impact we can have together.
