May 2025 is just about here, and almost one-third of 2025 is now behind us. How time flies! And the
Arizona 2026 State and Local elections continue to be our ongoing focus. The noise to deter us from
achieving our goals to turn this state around continues to bombard us at every turn. The
Democrats will use every trick in their repertoire to derail all of the great work that the Trump
Administration is accomplishing, including the unrelenting spreading of lies and
disinformation (haven’t heard that word in a while) whenever and wherever they
can. However, some notable good news recently published in Arizona includes:
· The gap between registered Republicans and Democrats in Maricopa County
has increased from 85,000 in April 2020 to 191,000 in April 2025. Republicans
have more than doubled their registration advantage over Democrats in
Arizona’s largest county!
· A recent communication from the Yavapai County Recorder’s Office indicates
the current tally of Active Registered Voters grew to 178,781, marking an
increase over 3,000 since the November 2024 General Election, with 78% on the
Active Early Voting List.
· Of the 178,781 registered voters in Yavapai County, 52% (92,732) are
Republican, 28.5% (50,963) are Independent, and 18% (32,422) are Democrat.
Even with these statistics, let's continue to be actively involved in voter registration
opportunities, talking to our friends and neighbors, and setting the stage for the 2026
elections.
The First 100 Days milestone of the Trump Presidency is here! April 30, 2025 marks
100 days of the Trump Administration’s efforts to turn this country around. The first
100 days of a presidency took on symbolic significance during Franklin D. Roosevelt's
first term in office, and the period is considered a benchmark to measure the early
success of a president. As of April 24, 2025, President Trump has signed 139 executive
orders, 39 proclamations, 42 memorandums, the Laken Riley Act, a continuing
appropriations act, and other pieces of legislation for Congress. It’s been a whirlwind
of positive actions for the American people, noticeable foreign influence on the world
stage, tariff negotiations ongoing, and a significant shift towards more conservative
values in our country. But the fight continues every day! These changes and moves are
not always greeted with great fanfare. There continues to be a faction of the
population suffering from TDS, who will never be satisfied or happy with good
results. Many constituents expect to experience instantaneous, unrealistic results,
when it literally took years to destroy them in the first place. Just look at the absurd
actions of members of Congress during the Joint Session Address, the outrage of the
Left to the rightful deportation of the so-called “Maryland Man” to his home country
of El Salvador, and the dictatorial Judges who have most recently taken it upon
themselves to wildly interpret, act on and take it upon themselves to break existing
laws! Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich provides an extensive factual analysis of
these judges in his article:
Our Country – One Nation Under God – certainly needs continual fervent prayer from
those who love and are dedicated to it. That’s why a National Day of Prayer has been
set aside annually on the first Thursday in May for just this purpose. The National Day
of Prayer exists to mobilize unified public prayer for America. This year, on May 1st
there are several events planned in the Quad-City area that are encouraging the
observance of this special day, should you want to attend. May God continue to bless
the United States of America! If interested, a History of the National Day of Prayer,
initiated in April 1952, can be found at:
Our May 1st PVRW Luncheon is scheduled in between several National Day of Prayer
events. We hope that you consider joining us for a fun time honoring an American
tradition, the Kentucky Derby. We expect many of you will join in the festivities by
wearing your Kentucky Derby finest, as there will be recognition and prizes for
participating. And our Arizona State Treasurer, Kimberly Yee, will join us to provide
her perspective on our state’s financial position as well as a view into the 2026
elections. Come expecting a great time of food, fun and fashion.
